Actresses and actors of the Wiener Vorstadttheater interpret five extracts from famous works of William Shakespeare: Twelfth Night, Measure for Measure, Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It and The Taming of the Shrew. The plots of these plays are more relevant than ever: shipwrecks, the fight against the death penalty, the abuse of power by the ruling authorities and the fate of fighters from war and crisis zones. The Wiener Vorstadttheater – integratives theater österreich offers people who are usually excluded from the professional culture industry, a platform to express themselves artistically. All projects are developed with and for so-called marginal groups.
