This year’s Kunsthalle Wien Prize is awarded to Abiona Esther Ojo (graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) and Huda Takriti (graduate of the University of Applied Arts Vienna).

In a Zoom conversation the two artists talk to Joanna Warsza – curator, theorist, and juror in both juries – about their installations Die Magie steckt in jeder Strähne (There’s Magic in Every Strand) and of cities and private living rooms, on show in their joint exhibition Weaving Truths, Untangling Fictions at Kunsthalle Wien Karlsplatz. Jointly organized by the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, and the Kunsthalle Wien, the annual Kunsthalle Wien Prize is awarded by a jury to one recent graduate of each of the two art schools.

Each honoree receives a € 3,000 cash prize provided by DekoTrend GmbH and Gertraud and Dieter Bogner, a catalogue-publication of his or her work, and an exhibition at Kunsthalle Wien.
