In cooperation with the TU Wien Informatics eduLAB, Kunsthalle Wien is offering a free programme for primary school grades 2 to 4 as part of the exhibition Radical Software: Women, Art & Computing 1960–1991.
In this workshop, primary school pupils playfully discover the world of algorithms in the context of an exciting exhibition that explores the development of digital art. The exhibition focuses entirely on female artists and documents a lesser-known history of the inception of computer-generated drawings and texts as well as painting, sculpture, film, installation and performance. We refer to specific works and playfully establish connections between art and computer science through tasks and puzzles. In the process, pupils discover how an algorithm can be used to identify objects.
Admission and workshop are free of charge.
