HiStories / Geschichte(n): Marlie Mul

Lecture
21/4 2016 7 pm
Museumsquartier

In the series HiStories / Geschichte(n) artists share their thoughts on the works of other artists. Even though their own work will not be discussed directly, the lectures instead reflect their influences, tastes and interests. HiStories / Geschichte(n) is a subjective history of art putting works at the forefront that provide a space for reflection on the artists own artistic practice.

Marlie Muls works oscillate between form and function, alienated objectivity and aesthetically excessive practical value. She is interested in communication processes in the digital age and how such processes alter our view of our contemporary material world.
