Visit the Kunsthalle Wien stand at viennacontempary – Austria’s international art fair.
The presentation focuses on the question “How To Live Together?”, which is also the title of the upcoming exhibition opening in May 2017 at Kunsthalle Wien. It will present artistic positions that deal with historic, current, and/or future chances of “togetherness”.
The developments of recent years force us to face new challenges globally: the polarization of society, rapid social change and the fear of terrorism shapes an insecure image of our everyday world.
Even living together within society itself has changed and has produced new forms of partnerships, new lifestyles and new ideas of coexistence. Social bonds are renegotiated, traditional notions of family models and behaviours are put to the test.
The British artist Liam Gillick has designed the work I See that Iceland is Improving especially for the exhibition How To Live Together – comprising a map, that points to the current mood in Europe.
The team of the Kunsthalle Wien will personally welcome all visitors at booth 40B.
