In D/ialog – Politics of Listening

Workshop
16/10 2021 12 pm — 4 pm
Museumsquartier

In the performative workshop Politics of Listening, we employ active listening as a critical practice against discrimination. We are in search of allies who stand up for an antiracist society free from discrimination. How can marginalized knowledge become anchored in the cultural sector? How can it reflect the polyphony of a post-migrant society? Which tasks must be fulfilled by cultural institutions in this context? Together with Stefanie Sourial, we depart from the practice of listening to develop performative strategies of action, while exploring and testing out the potentials of an alliance in difference and contradiction.
