Museumsquartier

The discussion between Jürgen Mayer H. and Nicolaus Schafhausen focuses on issues such as new architecture in historical surroundings, the perspective of the radical ‘other’ and architectural visions as a way of creating the possible.

Jürgen Mayer H. is an architect. In 1996 he founded the architecture firm J. MAYER H. (Berlin) which works at the interfaces between architecture, design and new media. His most spectacular buildings include the museum Danfoss Universe in the Danish town of Nordborg, the Mensa Moltke of the Academy of Fine Art in Karlsruhe and the Metropol Parasol in the old town of Seville.

Nicolaus Schafhausen is Director of Kunsthalle Wien.
