23/9 2018 6 pm

Lena Grossmann is a Munich based artist and choreographer. As a contribution to the exhibition, she develops a dance solo that responds to the installation at the Kunsthalle Wien. The solo is performed by Kelly Kaspar, a dancer living in Biel (B), with whom Lena Grossmann regularly collaborates, as well as in a recent performance Strecke [1-7] aus Armkreis [0] für vier Personen (2018, Kassel ). In her installations and choreographies, Grossmann deals with readings of movements as well as time structures and notation forms.

Together with Felix Leon Westner and Jan Erbelding she studied in Olaf Nicolai’s class for sculpture and foundations of three-dimensional design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Olaf Nicolai has been teaching at the academy since 2011. Currently, she is also studying at the ZHdK in Zurich with Isabel Mundry.
