People have been interested in the sun since time immemorial. The central star of our solar system provides orientation and structure and fascinates both science and art. As part of the exhibition Genossin Sonne [Comrade Sun] we invite pupils to a mathematical art talk and discuss the revolutionary power of the sun with a maths professor and an art educator.
The workshops take place on designated Wednesday mornings from 10 to 11:30 am at Kunsthalle Wien Museumsquartier. After the workshop, there is the opportunity to extend the visit to the exhibition according to personal interest.
The number of participants, including accompanying teachers, is limited to 30. For larger groups, please split up and book more than one date.
The admission and the guided tour are free of charge. For school classes of 10th and 11th grade.
