Vanessa Joan Müller in conversation with Thomas Bayrle

The work of Thomas Bayrle is characterized through the principle of seriality: masses of people together with masses of goods form to create an ornamental all-over pattern. Bayrles critique on consumerism is articulated by numerous objects which display tangled roads and motorway passages. The reflection on mass-oriented reproduction processes also plays an important role in his graphics and collages.

Vanessa Joan Müller will talk with Thomas Bayrle about the possibilities critical art has nowadays and about collecting as an artistic gesture.
