Tom McCarthy is an English writer, artist, and founder and General Secretary of the International Necronautical Society (INS), a semi-fictitious avant-garde network of writers, philosophers, and artists whose work has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Palais de Tokyo Paris, Tate Britain, and Moderna Museet Stockholm. In 2013 he was awarded the inaugural Windham-Campbell Prize for Fiction by Yale University.
For WWTBD Tom McCarthy will read from his novel ‘C’ and from ‘The Mattering of Matter’, a collection of INS documents produced between 1999 and 2010. The two selections fit nicely together and tie in well with the context of What Would Thomas Bernard Do.
