All holders of a valid Wiener Linien annual pass have free admission to the current exhibitions. In the afternoon, we offer guided tours through the exhibitions Aleksandra Domanović and Diego Marcon. La Gola in German.
Guided Tour Aleksandra Domanović, 3pm
Aleksandra Domanović’s work focuses on the intersections of technology, history and culture, considering the way that they shape our understanding of identity and contemporary society. This new exhibition brings together sculpture, video, print, photography and digital media produced over the last eighteen years. Presenting over forty works, including new commissions, it surveys the development of a playful yet critical practice shaped by information culture in the post-internet era. It is the first exhibition of Domanović’s work in Austria and the largest presentation of her work to date.
Guided Tour Diego Marcon. La Gola, 4pm
Diego Marcon’s works draw on different cinematic vocabularies, shifting between genres from musicals to melodrama; from horror to slapstick comedy. La Gola (2024) is structured by a series of letters between two correspondents, Gianni and Rosanna, who are each absorbed in their own narrative. The film moves between the poetic and the revolting as Gianni describes the successive courses of an exquisite banquet while Rosanna chronicles the progressive decline of her mother’s health. Produced in partnership with Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève and Kunstverein in Hamburg, its presentation is Marcon’s first solo exhibition in Austria.
