What professions are needed at Kunsthalle Wien? How long does it take to organise an exhibition? Who selects the artworks? And how do the artworks actually end up in the exhibition? During the “Behind-the-scenes”-tour, we will answer all the questions that are usually not asked. We will talk about the creation of an exhibition, visit the workshops of Kunsthalle Wien and speak with the staff about their professions.
Afterwards, we will visit the exhibition Radical Software. Frauen Kunst Computer. 1960–1991. The exhibition shows the important role women played in the invention and development of computers and computer art and how digital art looked before the age of the internet. Inspired by the exhibition, we will end the programme with a workshop in the Kunsthalle Wien Atelier.
