Anri Sala

Exhibition
28/3 2003 — 15/6 2003
Museumsquartier / Halle2

The young Albanian artist Anri Sala (born 1974 in Tirana, now living and working in Paris) has, over the past few years, displayed an extraordinarily lively exhibition activity (including the Manifesta 3 in Ljubljana, the Yokohama Triennale and the distinction of winning the Young Artist’ s Prize of the Venice Biennale, 2001) followed by a great deal of international attention. The Kunsthalle Wien now shows, within a comprehensive purview of his work, a representative selection of his much-discussed shorts and video installations, whose understanding is expanded through the provision of several up until now rarely shown photographs by Anri Sala as well as a new sound-work in the public arena.

Curator: Gerald Matt

A catalogue accompanying the exhibition will feature an interview with Anri Sala conducted by Gerald Matt, as well as contributions by Hans-Ulrich Obrist and Edi Muka.
