The parallel existence of various cultures, which mix together, and the continuing survival of historical rituals and traditions, which become visible in everyday objects and behaviours, are central themes of the photographic investigation of Bernadette Felber. She observes cultural and social changes in the urban landscapes of México City and documents the radical changes between native and modern life. With the camera she catches the significance of signs, letters and objects in the public space which in this context give a ?hidden? message through our association to its composit elements.
