LUC SANTE ist Schriftsteller und Kritiker und unterrichtet am Bard College. Er schreibt für die New York Review of Books und veröffentlichte zuletzt u.a. „Kill All Your Darlings: Pieces 1990-2005“ (2007).
Er lebt und arbeitet in den USA.
