Guided Tours in Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS)

Kunsthalle Wien is deeply committed to making its exhibitions accessible to the deaf community. In addition to providing video tours interpreted in Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS), we also offer regular guided tours in ÖGS. These tours are free with a valid exhibition ticket.

Guided Tours in Einfache Sprache (simple German language)

Kunsthalle Wien offers public tours in Einfache Sprache.

Einfache Sprache is a plain language approach to German, making it easier to understand concepts. During these tours, we use Einfache Sprache to walk groups through an exhibition using simplified language to explain the exhibition and art on display. You can ask questions and discuss what you see and we will take plenty of time to speak in clear, simple and accessible language.

Handouts in Leichte Sprache (German)

Kunsthalle Wien has been using Leichte Sprache since September 2024. We produce printed guides for each exhibition in simple German, you can collect them free of charge when you visit or download a PDF from the exhibition page.
