In this workshop, you can try out Brishty Alam’s favourite material with the artist herself: tape! Tape is sticky, colourful and comes in different textures. You can use it not only to stick things together – but also to draw, create shapes and experiment. What happens when we view the world through the lens of tape? Bristhy Alam works with various media, including sculpture, video and drawing. In her art, she enjoys experimenting with materials and new ideas.

Brishty Alam has graduated in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, with a year in HFBK Hamburg and completed her degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. She is a Senior Artist at the department of Transcultural Studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Her works often include a translation; in location, in medium, in context, as well as an experimental attitude.

For children aged 6 to 10

The workshop is part of KinderuniKunst and free of charge.

Registration is available from 19 May 2026: kinderunikunst.at
