Curator’s tour with Zdenka Badovinac

Zdenka Badovinac, curator of Works of Heart (1974–2022) and a true expert on Sanja Iveković’s work, will lead a tour in English through the exhibition.

Works of Heart (1974–2022) is a large-scale retrospective covering the wide range of subjects addressed by Sanja Iveković’s art practice. Since the 1970s, her artistic practice has taken a clear feminist and activist position and has continuously confronted issues of gender and politics. Her uncompromising manner of bringing together aesthetic and political investigations has influenced generations of artists and curators. Often, the departure point for Iveković’s works is very personal settings and life circumstances, which the artist juxtaposes with official histories and mainstream representations.
