Guided Tour (DE)
Lebt und arbeitet in Wien
The most extensive survey of the Viennese contemporary art scene organised by Kunsthalle Wien in over a decade brings together over 130 artworks by 56 artists who live and work in Vienna. Across all of its spaces in the MuseumsQuartier and Karlsplatz the exhibition presents painting, sculpture, installation, drawing, photography, performance, sound, film and video. Initially organised by Kunsthalle Wien in 2000, the fifth edition of Lebt und arbeitet in Wien builds upon a longstanding tradition of celebrating Vienna’s lively artistic discourse and diverse community of artists. Curated by Daniel Baumann, Michelle Cotton and Monika Georgieva, it places an emphasis on the city as a dynamic space of production, presenting new and recent works.
The guided tour is free of charge as part of our Free Sundays. On the last Sunday of every month, we invite you to our current exhibition at both the MuseumsQuartier and Karlsplatz locations without charge, thanks to a new partnership with Dorotheum. The guided tour includes both locations, starting at Kunsthalle Wien Museumsquartier.
