Kunsthalle Wien will host its first Artists’ Market at its premises in the Museumsquartier on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Over twenty artist-run stalls will offer a wide range of affordable, unique and editioned artworks, publications and multiples providing visitors the opportunity to purchase items directly from the artists. Hosted in conjunction with a lively programme at our Atelier, the Artists’ Market is the place to browse for something special for yourself or a unique gift while also discovering and supporting local artists.

The artworks on offer range from small objects to large prints; zines to hand-printed or -woven garments and ceramic sculpture that takes the form of fungi (by Esther Stern) or baseball caps (by Ju Aichinger). “Marktbäckerei” is a project by Oliver Collins and Simone Eisele offering pastries that promise to always look fresh. Another stall by Valerie Prinz, Eva Weber and Anna Weberberger operates under the motto Rien ne va plus, inviting customers to try their luck in a game of chance.

Kunsthalle Wien’s own artist editions by Richard Hawkins, Sophie von Hellermann, Ibrahim Mahama, Diego Marcon, Nora Turato and Guan Xiao will also be on sale alongside our publications, exhibition merchandise and posters. The Artists’ Market coincides with the launch of Kunsthalle Wien’s Christmas Tree, a fundraising initiative supported by more than 30 artists that donated unique objects to be sold for € 50. All proceeds from the Christmas Tree project will be used to finance a new inclusion programme in cooperation with Ohrenschmaus, an organisation that seeks to discover and promote talented writers with learning difficulties.
