Milica Tomic - I am Milica Tomic

In her video pieces, the Belgrade artist Milica Tomic addresses subjects such as identity, nationality, and political terror as well as the interferences of the private and the political. Enacting the reconstruction of memories, or history, she does not take an "objective" outside point of view, but makes herself part of the scenario. Thus, for example, her video Portrait of My Mother" was made during the NATO bombings of Belgrade in 1999.
