Open Call: Kunsthalle Wien Artists’ Market

Kunsthalle Wien invites proposals from artists for its first Artists’ Market on Sunday 7 December 2025. Hosted in the Kunsthalle Wien Museumsquartier, the market is a one-off, single-day event devoted to artists’ books, editions and multiples.

Artists are invited to apply for stalls to sell affordable artworks including drawings, prints, editions, multiples, books, zines or other (art)works specially-conceived for the event. Kunsthalle Wien encourages innovative proposals and projects. We welcome applications from individuals, groups and artist-led off-spaces.

Stallholders may retain the proceeds from sales. Kunsthalle Wien provides each stallholder with a table (120 x 80 cm). There is no charge for participation, but participants are responsible for setting up, running and dismantling their stalls, managing their sales and any other associated costs. The event will take place in the foyers of Kunsthalle Wien Museumsquartier from 10:00 to 18:00 alongside the current exhibitions and a programme of activities in Kunsthalle Wien’s Atelier.

To apply, send a brief outline proposal (max. one A4-page PDF) containing the following information:

  • Name(s) of the artist(s) whose work will be presented

  • Name, postal address, email address and telephone number of the applicant

  • Details of the goods or services that will be offered for sale

  • Estimated price range and the beneficiary (if other than the seller)
