Between Fandom and Fetish: Richard Hawkins splices art history’s Old Masters with the internet’s young subs, Bonnard with BelAmi, Forrest Bess with pop icons and porn stars – weaving desire through the annals of art history. In this conversation at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Hawkins and art historian Christian Liclair delve into their visual obsessions: from ecstatic visions and fanatical research to the feverish pleasures of painting.

This event is organised by the University of Applied Arts Vienna and Kunsthalle Wien on the occasion of the exhibition Richard Hawkins: Potentialities at Kunsthalle Wien Museumsquartier, opening 25 November.

The event is free of charge and no registration is required.
