The idea of ultimate scientific truth and the definitive work of art have become modern myths in the postmodern era. However, this postmodern concept opens up countless possibilities, both scientific and artistic. The interaction between contemporary art and modern technology is just one of them.

The exhibition, developed by the Museé d'lxelles in Brussels and expanded by Kunsthalle Wien, used a wide variety of artistic positions to highlight existing relationships and interactions between art and science. The way in which new technological achievements influence creative work was demonstrated through the works of 14 artists and artist groups from nine countries. Despite their diverse approaches and technical realisations, these works have one thing in common: they all make use of information technology and contemporary means of communication and question certain aspects of science and knowledge transfer.
