Circle Talks – The Community Round Table (DE/EN)
Gathering as a Practice of Care
Circle Talks is an open discussion and exchange format within the framework of the kültüř gemma!-fellowship by Viviane Lê Tanzmeister at Kunsthalle Wien.
Based on street dance and hip-hop cultures, in which gathering in a circle (cypher) is a central social and artistic practice, Circle Talks invites participants to experience gathering as a form of care, exchange and collective perception.
The third session invites participants to gather and reflect on community, perception and ways of seeing. Together we explore how our gaze – the ways we look at and interpret one another – shapes our understanding of the world around us. Taking inspiration from the cypher as a collective space of exchange, we will reflect on what it means to see and be seen within a community. We will use embodied as well as reflective tools to exchange about this topic.
